Under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE and Prime Minister, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, inaugurated the 27th edition of the Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Conference (WETEX). The event is organized by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) and will last for three days. Present at the opening were Majid Al Shamsi, Chairman of DEWA, and Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, the Authority’s Managing Director and CEO, among other high-ranking officials from both public and private sectors as well as global companies.
Global Participation
Sheikh Ahmed toured the various exhibits at the conference, which has attracted 68 sponsoring organizations and 18 supporting partners. This edition features participation from 3,100 companies representing 65 countries worldwide. The exhibition showcases 18 international pavilions and spans an area of 95,000 square meters. It highlights the latest innovations and technologies aimed at increasing the share of clean and renewable energy in the global energy mix while reducing costs and enhancing operational efficiency.
The conference serves as an excellent opportunity to explore investment prospects in artificial intelligence, ensuring proactive engagement in harnessing the vast growth opportunities presented by AI across various sectors, including clean and renewable energy, oil, water, and digitalization.
