The National Engineering Office Designs the Crypto Tower at the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre

The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), a key player in promoting global trade through Dubai, has announced the appointment of National Engineering Bureau (NEB) as the official consultant for the design and supervision of the Crypto Tower project, the first commercial skyscraper worldwide dedicated entirely to web3 and digital asset companies. This collaboration is in partnership with Red Development.

Strategically located in the heart of the Jumeirah Lakes Towers area, the Crypto Tower is poised to become a pioneering project that will offer tailored commercial spaces specifically designed for blockchain, cryptocurrency, and digital asset enterprises, supporting their growth and expansion. The selection of NEB marks a significant milestone in the ambitious development of this project and underscores DMCC’s unwavering commitment to providing top-tier infrastructure for the rapidly evolving tech sectors.

With four decades of extensive experience, NEB will oversee all aspects of architectural design and engineering work, secure necessary approvals, and supervise ongoing construction activities for the Crypto Tower. Their vast expertise in managing complex development projects across the UAE ensures adherence to the highest global standards of quality and sustainability, resulting in a landmark that embodies innovation in every aspect.

On this occasion, Ahmed Bin Sulayem, the CEO and Executive Chairman of DMCC, stated: “The appointment of NEB is a significant achievement that brings us closer to realizing our ambitious vision of creating the world’s first commercial tower dedicated to web3 and digital asset companies. This tower will serve as a headquarters for our growing community of over 3,400 tech firms, including more than 700 companies within the DMCC Crypto Centre. It will provide premium office spaces designed to meet the needs of the new generation of digital organizations. Moreover, this project will accelerate the development of both Uptown Dubai and Jumeirah Lakes Towers, making them among the most vibrant business areas in Dubai and reinforcing DMCC’s position as a leading global hub for crypto, web3, and advanced technologies.”

Karen Kriska, Vice President of Operations for the Crypto Tower project, remarked: “We are pleased to collaborate with NEB as our trusted partner for design and supervision services. NEB has a successful track record of designing and overseeing numerous buildings across Dubai, including many notable projects in the Jumeirah Lakes Towers area. Their in-depth knowledge of the local regulatory environment, paired with their history of architectural innovation, makes them the ideal partner to turn the vision of the Crypto Tower into a tangible reality, creating a standout destination for the global web3 community.”

Jameel Jadallah, CEO of NEB, added: “We are proud to have been selected to contribute to this forward-looking project. The Crypto Tower is expected to become a cornerstone of the digital economy in the UAE, and we are committed to delivering exceptional services that reflect the innovative spirit and positive impact of this initiative. At NEB, we believe in our significant role in shaping the future of urban development, and this project embodies this philosophy in practice. We look forward to utilizing our decades of expertise and established presence in Dubai to create a unique architectural landmark that symbolizes the UAE’s leadership in technology and smart infrastructure.”

The Crypto Tower is a joint initiative between DMCC and Red Development, standing tall as a symbol of Dubai’s ambition to lead the global digital economy and serve as a preferred destination for innovators and investors in this vital sector. In light of the rising demand for advanced web3 infrastructure, the tower will become a dynamic hub that houses more than 700 specialized companies in blockchain and cryptocurrency based at DMCC, forming part of a broader tech ecosystem comprising over 3,400 entities.

DMCC’s continued investments in digital economy infrastructure are attracting high-growth projects and reinforcing Dubai’s status as the most interconnected and empowering environment globally for web3, fintech, and emerging technologies, opening new avenues for innovation and prosperity.
