The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, through its Sharjah Training and Development Center, successfully concluded the “Strategic Leadership Program – Oxford and Cambridge,” which took place in the United Kingdom in collaboration with its strategic partner, Harris Manchester College at the University of Oxford. This initiative reflects the chamber’s commitment to continue enhancing the skills of the national workforce and equipping future leaders with global best practices in leadership, innovation, and sustainability.

The program saw participation from a select group of promising administrative leaders who engaged in an enriching five-day journey filled with interactive workshops and high-quality site visits. The comprehensive educational experience aimed to refine their skills and empower them to effectively navigate the dynamics of global markets and anticipate future trends.

Maryam Al Shamsi, Assistant General Manager of the Support Services Sector at the Sharjah Chamber, stated that organizing the program at two of the world’s most prestigious universities represents a strategic step that embodies the chamber’s vision to invest in human capital. It demonstrates their commitment to developing a generation of leaders capable of competing on a global scale. She highlighted that the program’s focus areas were designed to equip participants with the essential tools needed for institutional transformation and to adapt to fundamental changes in the global economy, thereby enhancing Sharjah’s position as a leading hub for business and innovation.

She emphasized that the blend of theoretical knowledge and real-world experiences aims to broaden participants’ horizons and deepen their understanding of the relationship between industrial innovation and academic and cultural heritage.
