K2’s ‘Auto Craft’ Unveils Comprehensive eVTOL Platform Prototype at Dubai Airshow

AutoCraft, a subsidiary of K2 owned by the Abu Dhabi government, is unveiling a comprehensive model of its electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) platform, showcasing the future of urban aerial mobility. This unveiling is taking place at the Dubai Airshow, which runs until November 21.

The company has designed its exhibition space to emulate a luxurious ‘Vertiport’ experience, allowing visitors to familiarize themselves with the process of booking future flights and navigating the various service stages.

Even though actual flights are not taking place, attendees can experience all pre-flight stages. They can use the company’s proprietary technologies to book their journeys by scanning a QR code, entering the necessary information, and passing through electronic gates without any human intervention.

At the center of the exhibition stand is the AutoCraft E20 Plus eVTOL aircraft, which boasts the ability to reach speeds of up to 320 kilometers per hour, highlighting its state-of-the-art wing design and aerial capabilities.

Additionally, the booth showcases the civilian model of the ‘Eneron Magnus’, which has been developed based on the company’s other innovations, such as the ‘Magnus BB’ and ‘Magnus Polis’ designed for police use, as well as the ‘Magnus Fire Command’, representing the next generation of police and civil defense vehicles.

Sean Tiu, CEO of K2, emphasized that the urban mobility sector is undergoing significant transformation, with electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft at the heart of this change. As cities expand and the demand for smarter, cleaner transportation solutions increases, these aircraft will play a crucial role in reshaping mobility dynamics. He expressed pride in the company’s involvement in this new chapter, where innovations in the air will elevate ground transportation.

Waleed Al-Blooshi, VP of Strategic Affairs at K2, stated that the company is presenting a comprehensive vision for the future of urban mobility at the Dubai Airshow. “From seamless aerial transport to smart road mobility solutions, we are developing the infrastructure and innovations that will redefine urban movement on a global scale,” he added.
