Air Arabia has celebrated the launch of its new daily direct flight connecting Sharjah International Airport with Václav Havel Airport in Prague, further expanding its global network of destinations. The new service operates using the recently acquired A320neo aircraft, providing travelers with more flexible, comfortable, and affordable travel options while promoting tourism, business, and cultural exchange between the UAE and the Czech Republic.
To mark this occasion, Václav Havel Airport in Prague hosted a welcoming ceremony for the inaugural flight, attended by airport officials, local partners, and representatives from Air Arabia, underscoring the significance of the direct connection between the two countries.
Adel Ali, the CEO of Air Arabia Group, expressed his enthusiasm about commencing direct daily flights to the strategic European destination of Prague. He noted that this launch reflects the growing demand for reliable and cost-effective air travel services from the UAE, reinforcing the airline’s commitment to expanding its European destinations from Sharjah and bolstering tourism, business, and cultural interactions between the two nations.
Meanwhile, Jiří Pospíšil, Chairman of the Prague Airport Board, stated his pleasure in enhancing their presence in the Middle East with the addition of a new airline, marking the eighth carrier to operate flights to the airport. He highlighted that the resumption of this service coincides with the start of the winter flight schedule, offering travelers a wider range of options not only to the Middle East but also to key destinations such as East Africa, India, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Thailand, and Kuala Lumpur via Air Arabia’s expanding network.
This new daily service enriches Air Arabia’s European network from Sharjah, which already includes notable destinations like Vienna, Athens, Milan Bergamo, Krakow, Warsaw Chopin, and Warsaw Modlin, providing travelers with a broader array of direct flight options.
