The 2025 Middle East Iron and Steel Conference, organized by Fastmarkets, will take place from November 17 to 19 at the Jumeirah Centre for Exhibitions and Conferences in Dubai.
This event is expected to attract over 1,500 participants, including producers and financiers from more than 60 countries, making it the largest gathering within the global iron and steel supply chain.
With ongoing projects worth over $3 trillion in various stages of execution or planning, the annual steel consumption in the region is projected to exceed 65 million tons by 2027.
The conference comes at a critical time for the global steel industry, particularly in light of the European Union’s proposal to increase import tariffs to 50%.
Meanwhile, countries in the region are focused on enhancing their industrial competitiveness, with the UAE and Saudi Arabia significantly investing in diversifying their industrial base and advancing green steel production.
