The Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center, known as “Sheraa,” recently celebrated the graduation of its 2024 cohort from the Sharjah Startup Studio during the “Final Pitch Day” held at Your Space in Al Jada, Sharjah. Among the distinguished guests were Najla Al Midfa, Deputy CEO of Sheraa, and Sarah Al Hifnani, Executive Director of Sheraa. This cohort comprised 19 startups that successfully completed an intensive program aimed at fostering their growth and enabling them to expand both regionally and internationally.
The selected startups were chosen from over 2,300 applications from approximately 75 countries. Collectively, they secured around $19.3 million in funding and generated revenues exceeding $21.9 million, benefiting from the expertise of over 30 professionals.
Highlighted startups included “Squirrel Education,” an AI-powered platform focused on financial literacy concepts; “Damdum,” an application that enriches cultural knowledge through locally relevant Arabic content; “City Greens Innovation,” which specializes in vertical farming using automation and AI; and “Little Sprouts,” which provides healthy and sustainable food options for children through innovative processes and locally sourced ingredients. Additionally, “School Voice” was recognized for enhancing communication between schools and parents.
