500 Participants at the Annual Banking and Money Transfer Institutions Festival in Dubai

The annual sports and games festival organized by a consortium of currency exchange and money transfer institutions for 2025 took place on Sunday at Woodlem Park School in the Al Qusais area. The event brought together employees from 15 different exchange companies, along with their families and community members, attracting over 500 participants.

The festival featured 10 sporting and entertainment activities, including football, cricket, basketball, and track and field events, as well as a variety of games for both men and women. The program prioritized employee well-being, promoted an active lifestyle, and fostered an enjoyable environment that enhanced team spirit and community belonging.

LM Exchange Company emerged as the overall champion of the festival after an impressive performance, clinching the cricket championship as well. In the football competitions, Travelex UAE secured first place, while Al Ansari Exchange rightfully won the basketball title. Al Ghurair Exchange also shone during the ‘throw, catch, and run’ event, showcasing noteworthy achievements. Track and field competitions highlighted remarkable displays from participants across various exchange companies, providing a competitive edge to the festival.

This annual gathering underscored the consortium’s dedication to enhancing communication among professionals within the currency exchange and money transfer sector. Participants, along with their families, enjoyed a full day of sports, entertainment, and social activities, making the festival a comprehensive community event.

The sports and games festival is part of the consortium’s ongoing commitment to community engagement through initiatives like Soccer Fest and health and sports programs aimed at promoting well-being, cooperation, and social responsibility.
