58% of Consumers in the UAE Are Utilizing Artificial Intelligence

Deloitte Releases 2025 Report on Digital Consumer Trends

Deloitte has published its 2025 report focusing on “Digital Consumer Trends,” which provides valuable insights into how consumers in the UAE interact with digital technology, media, and communication. The findings reveal that a significant 58% of consumers in the UAE are utilizing artificial intelligence.

Key Highlights of the Report

The report emphasizes the rapid adoption of generative AI technologies, the continued dominance of smartphones, and the increasing popularity of connected devices, alongside a growing shift towards social media commerce.

Based on a survey involving 2,000 consumers aged 18 to 50 in both the UAE and Saudi Arabia, the report illustrates a notable rise in the use of generative AI tools. Approximately 58% of respondents reported using applications such as ChatGPT or Google Gemini, surpassing usage rates in the UK and Europe.

Consumer Engagement with AI Tools

The report confirms that consumers in Saudi Arabia and the UAE are incorporating these tools at a swift pace, with 55% using them on a daily or weekly basis for personal, educational, and professional purposes. However, 20% of participants remain unfamiliar with the technology. Additionally, concerns over data privacy continue to pose a significant barrier, predominantly for infrequent users, as one in four respondents expressed apprehension about this issue. Furthermore, 19% identified copyright and intellectual property concerns as major sources of worry.
