Shurooq and Cytex Mena Launch Intelligent Screen Network in Sharjah’s Top Destinations

The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority, known as “Shurooq,” has forged a strategic partnership with “Sitex MENA” to introduce a network of interactive digital screens at several key locations in Sharjah. This initiative represents a significant advancement in the modernization of digital infrastructure at Shurooq’s destinations, aligning with Sharjah’s goal of adopting smart city solutions.

Under the agreement, Sitex MENA will deploy and manage state-of-the-art outdoor digital screens designed to provide real-time information, enhanced guidance, and live updates for both visitors and residents. Additionally, these screens will consistently showcase events and tourist attractions, improving the accessibility of information within the authority’s destinations.

This project marks a transformative development in urban communication, utilizing data-driven solutions to enhance interactions between government entities, business partners, and the public. Sitex MENA will oversee the entire implementation of the project, which includes installation, operation, and 24/7 monitoring. The initiative will feature smart units that provide real-time traffic updates, weather conditions, alerts, and other interactive services that promote safety and quality of life.

The initial phase will target high-traffic areas such as Al Qasba, Al Hira Beach, Al Mamzar Island, and Khorfakkan, with plans for further expansion to additional locations in the future. This will bolster the digital transformation efforts and elevate the urban infrastructure quality in the emirate. This partnership underscores both parties’ commitment to developing a more intelligent and efficient urban communication system, reinforcing Sharjah’s status as a leading destination for smart city technologies in the region.

Stephan Kasatkin, CEO of Sitex MENA, stated that the project aligns with the company’s vision of creating smarter and more interactive urban environments. He emphasized that the collaboration with Shurooq is a significant step toward establishing a technological framework that supports residents, visitors, and the business sector, thereby enhancing Sharjah’s position within the global smart city landscape.
