9 Billion Dirhams in Bank Financing for Small Businesses Over Three Years

Banks operating in the UAE have provided around AED 9 billion in additional funding for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) over the past three years.

According to data from the central bank, the volume of bank financing allocated to SMEs in the UAE has grown by more than 10% between 2022 and 2025.

In recent years, local banks have resumed increasing their funding flows to small business sectors, resulting in a gradual improvement in the cumulative financing balance for these ventures, reaching AED 92 billion by the end of last year, up from over AED 83 billion in 2022.
