This iteration of the program was organized by the General Civil Aviation Authority in conjunction with the Government Knowledge Exchange Office at the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, coinciding with the Global Government Summit 2026. This timing allowed participants to attend the summit’s activities and take advantage of this high-level platform for strategic discussions, gaining insights into best practices in governance and innovation.
The focus of the program revolved around sharing experiences in utilizing artificial intelligence technologies in the aviation sector, integrating aviation and tourism, global trends in strategic planning, and sustainable aviation.

His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism and Chairman of the General Civil Aviation Authority, emphasized that civil aviation has evolved beyond a simple means of transport, becoming a crucial pillar in crafting a comprehensive future for cities, economies, and communities. He acknowledged the responsibility this entails as well as the opportunities it presents. Through sustainable investments in sustainable aviation fuels, advanced infrastructure development, and fostering innovation within the aviation ecosystem, the UAE is actively working to mitigate the sector’s environmental impact while supporting its continuous growth. He added that global knowledge exchange platforms, such as the International Civil Aviation Leaders Program, play a vital role in enhancing cooperation, aligning best international practices, and empowering current and future leaders to accelerate the transformation towards a more sustainable aviation sector worldwide.
