Launch of an Advanced Sulfur Production Facility in Dubai with an Annual Capacity of 60,000 Tons

A chemical company, Amarak Chemicals, which is part of the Aries Group, announced the launch of its operational facilities for sulfur manufacturing at the Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA) in Dubai. This initiative aims to increase the availability of sulfur-based products in the agricultural sector, leveraging the integrated logistical system of Jebel Ali.

Production Capacity and Operations

The facility is set to produce up to 60,000 metric tons annually of sulfur bentonite and other sulfur-related products to serve the global agricultural market. It operates under a fully automated system, equipped with digital control systems designed to enhance productivity, accuracy, and operator safety.

Official Inauguration

The formal opening of the facility was attended by prominent guests, including P. G. Krishnan, the Economic and Trade Consul at the Consulate General of India in Dubai, Saud Al Awadhi, Sales Director at JAFZA, and members of the Aries Group’s Board of Directors. The facility also welcomed clients from seven different countries who expressed their interest in signing long-term supply contracts with Amarak, highlighting the growing demand for agricultural inputs that promote soil health, crop yield, and sustainable farming practices.

Valuable Addition to the Industry

Abdullah Al Hashimi, the Chief Operating Officer of DB World in the Gulf Cooperation Council region, commented, “JAFZA continues to solidify its position as a leading center for chemical industries and agricultural businesses. Amarak Chemicals’ new sulfur manufacturing facility is a significant addition to our expanding chemical sector, enhancing our ability to serve clients both regionally and internationally. By improving access to essential agricultural inputs, the facility will support farmers and strengthen food supply chains, reinforcing JAFZA’s pivotal role in trade and industry within the region.”

Global Reach and Trade Opportunities

Amarak is currently exporting to over 18 countries in South America, the Asia-Pacific region, and beyond from the UAE. The new JAFZA facility boosts Amarak’s capacity to meet the surging global demand, supported by reliable supply chains. This includes the Indian market, where a comprehensive economic partnership agreement between India and the UAE allows Amarak to manufacture larger quantities in the UAE and export to India duty-free while efficiently serving other international markets from a single production base.

Commitment to Excellence

Dr. Rahul Mirchandani, Chairman of the Aries Group, stated, “Our investment in JAFZA reflects the Aries Group’s long-term commitment to building world-class manufacturing capabilities in agricultural inputs and our aim to be the preferred global supplier of high-quality, reliable, and innovative fertilizers. Amarak Chemicals embodies our belief that Indian manufacturing excellence, combined with the supportive environment in the UAE, can successfully serve farmers and markets worldwide.” Dr. Mirchandani further emphasized JAFZA’s strategic role in the company’s global plans, noting, “JAFZA significantly reduces our logistics costs, accelerates our market access, and enhances connectivity to key geographical areas. It is the ideal location for our next stage of expansion into global markets.
