Etihad Airways has announced that its operations continue to be affected by airspace closures in the region, confirming the suspension of all flights to and from Abu Dhabi until 2 AM UAE time on March 2.
The airline is advising passengers scheduled to travel during this timeframe to check their flight status on its official website before heading to the airport, and emphasizes the importance of updating contact information in their bookings to ensure they receive any notifications regarding changes.
Etihad Airlines clarified that passengers holding tickets issued on or before February 28, 2026, with original travel dates up to March 2, 2026, can rebook for free on flights operated by the airline up until March 15, 2026.
Additionally, travelers on canceled flights can request a full refund through the airline’s website or by contacting travel agents, while those who booked through agents need to reach out to them directly.
The airline noted that it is currently experiencing a high volume of calls, which may result in longer response times for customer inquiries. It stressed that the situation is still evolving, and schedule changes may occur on short notice.
Etihad Airways assured that it is closely coordinating with relevant authorities and will resume normal operations as soon as conditions improve and it is safe to do so. The safety of passengers and staff remains a top priority, and the company expressed its apologies for the inconvenience while appreciating customers’ understanding.
