Etihad Airways has announced the resumption of a limited schedule for commercial flights starting today, March 6, 2026, operating routes between Abu Dhabi and several major destinations.
In a press release, the airline stated that passengers with existing bookings on these flights will be accommodated at the earliest possible opportunity, and tickets are now available for purchase through its website.
The airline urged travelers and the public not to head to the airport unless contacted directly by Etihad Airways or if they possess a confirmed booking on one of these new flights.
This decision comes after comprehensive assessments of safety and security in coordination with relevant authorities.
Etihad Airways continues to monitor the situation closely, and no flights will operate until all safety standards are met.
According to the airline, flights to and from Abu Dhabi are scheduled between March 6 and 19, servicing destinations including Ahmedabad, Bangkok, Bengaluru, Cairo, Colombo, Delhi, Frankfurt, Hanoi, Hyderabad, Jeddah, Kuala Lumpur, London (Heathrow), Madrid, Malé, Milan (Malpensa), Moscow (Sheremetyevo), Mumbai, New York (John F. Kennedy), Paris, Phuket, Riyadh, Rome, Seoul (Incheon), Toronto, and Zurich.
All flights are subject to operational approvals and may be adjusted based on regional airspace conditions.
Currently, all other scheduled commercial flights to and from Abu Dhabi remain suspended.
Affected travelers will receive direct communication from Etihad Airways to confirm the status of their flights and inform them of available options.
The airline has recommended that all passengers verify their contact details in their bookings and keep an eye on their email for the latest updates.
Additionally, customers are encouraged to check their flight status on the airline’s website before heading to the airport, ensuring their contact information in the booking is up to date.
