In July, Dubai International Airport scheduled approximately 5.28 million seats for international flights, translating to about 10.56 million seats for round trips, marking a 3% increase compared to the same month last year.
According to the latest report from the international organization OAG, which provides data on airports and airlines, Dubai International Airport maintained its position as the largest international air transport hub in the world during July 2025.
The report highlighted that Dubai International added nearly 160,000 seats in July when compared to the previous year. In terms of international flights, London Heathrow ranked second with about 4.28 million scheduled seats, following Dubai International.
Amsterdam Airport came in third with 3.78 million scheduled seats, while South Korea’s Seoul Airport secured the fourth spot with 3.74 million seats scheduled. Istanbul Airport rounded out the top five with 3.70 million scheduled seats.
Dubai International recorded roughly 5.1 million scheduled seats in June, 5.2 million in May, around 5 million in April, 5.16 million in March, 4.78 million in February, and 5.3 million in January 2025. This brings the total number of scheduled seats at the airport during the first seven months of the year to 35.82 million (over 71.64 million for round trips).
This increase in seat capacity at Dubai International coincides with the opening of new destinations and the launch of additional flights to existing locations, following a robust performance in international traffic throughout 2024 and the early months of the current year.
