The Khalifa Fund for Entrepreneurship is launching the “Future Entrepreneurs” program today, aimed at fostering a culture of innovation and enhancing financial skills among youth aged 6 to 18. This initiative seeks to empower a new generation of local entrepreneurs by providing them with essential tools within a hands-on educational setting, under the guidance of a panel of experts.
The program plans to engage 5,000 participants, develop 2,500 entrepreneurial projects, and support 1,000 small businesses over five years, under the umbrella of the “Future Entrepreneurs License,” recently introduced by the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development to regulate and advance the business sector.
The program is structured to select the most outstanding young entrepreneurs based on eligibility criteria, thinking methodology, creativity, and performance. A significant focus will be on participants who demonstrate innovative problem-solving skills and have the potential for long-term impact on Abu Dhabi’s economic landscape.
Additionally, the initiative emphasizes enabling participants to invent, develop, and market their products and services in a practical environment. Throughout the program, they will receive expert guidance and feedback, culminating in a pitch competition to showcase their ideas and products, with opportunities to sell and promote them in a dedicated marketplace.
