Comprehensive Plan
Dr. Abdullah Boushnak stated, “We are working on a comprehensive plan to unify efforts and enhance coordination with DP World and entities under the Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation. This aims to enrich traders’ experiences and foster their business growth, contributing to Dubai’s vision of becoming one of the top three global economic cities by 2033, as directed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.” He emphasized that customs continues its ongoing efforts to facilitate trade and enhance client experiences.
Achieving this goal requires strengthening integration among institutions and simplifying procedures. He added, “Dubai Customs embodies this approach through its ongoing initiatives. This meeting is part of a series of regular gatherings with trade workgroups aimed at facilitating shipment movement, enhancing the value of Dubai’s foreign trade, and supporting its position as a leading global hub for trade and logistics.”
He highlighted that the partnership between the public and private sectors is critical for sustainable development and improving government performance. Dubai Customs has prioritized developing a comprehensive perspective on this partnership to attract foreign investments in the commercial and logistics sectors, thanks to its business environment, which boasts some of the world’s most efficient procedures.
Traders expressed their appreciation for the open dialogue and commended Dubai Customs for initiating this gathering of relevant governmental and private entities to enhance operations. They noted that involving traders and clients in formulating solutions to challenges faced in their businesses is a significant step towards realizing authentic partnerships. They also praised the digital services available in the commercial sector and the logistics solutions in Dubai, which are unparalleled compared to the best commercial cities globally, further solidifying Dubai’s position as a pivotal center in international trade.
