UAE Participates in Kazan Petroleum and Gas Conference in Tatarstan

The United Arab Emirates, represented by the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, participated in the Kazan International Oil and Gas Conference held in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. The event drew a distinguished assembly of key officials and decision-makers in the energy sector from both regional and international contexts. The UAE delegation was led by Saif Al-Gabbash, the Assistant Undersecretary for Oil, Gas, and Mineral Resources at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure.

During the conference, which took place two days ago, the President of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, met with Al-Gabbash. They discussed ways to enhance bilateral collaboration and share expertise in the fields of oil, gas, and clean energy. They also explored future investment opportunities and partnerships that could support sustainable development and strengthen ties between the UAE and Tatarstan.

As part of the visit, the delegation toured several prominent institutions and centers in Kazan, including the Investment Development Agency of Tatarstan, the Artificial Intelligence Park, the special economic zone “Innopolis,” Innopolis University, and the Urban Planning Institute. This tour allowed the delegation to gain insights into advanced practices in investment, modern technologies, scientific research, and sustainable urban development.

Saif Al-Gabbash noted that participating in the Kazan Oil and Gas Conference and engaging in various official meetings reflect the UAE’s commitment to establishing effective strategic partnerships in the energy sector. He emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in innovation, the digital economy, education, and urban planning. He remarked that this participation offers a chance to exchange knowledge and build new collaborative bridges, creating broader opportunities for joint investments and enhancing the sharing of successful experiences.

He further explained that these efforts align with the goals outlined in the “We Are the Emirates 2031” vision, which focuses on building a diverse and sustainable economy grounded in knowledge and innovation. This highlights the UAE’s role as a key partner in shaping the future of global energy and sustainable development.

Al-Gabbash reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to collaborating with international partners to explore innovative solutions that enhance energy security, facilitate the transition to more sustainable sources, and maintain a balance between economic growth and environmental protection for future generations.
