The Dubai Chamber of Commerce, one of the three chambers operating under the Dubai Chambers umbrella, convened its third quarterly meeting for 2025 with representatives from various business groups and councils affiliated with it.
During this meeting, the chamber highlighted key initiatives and new programs aimed at enhancing the business environment in the emirate and supporting the growth of enterprises across different sectors. Also discussed were the legislative and regulatory priorities for the upcoming period, as well as strategies to broaden collaboration and partnership with relevant government entities.
The meeting included discussions on how to improve the performance of business groups and councils and expand their influence in shaping economic policies and legislation. Additionally, it showcased the successes achieved during the first half of the year, reflecting the ongoing progress towards a more competitive and flexible business landscape.
In the first half of 2025, the Dubai Chamber worked alongside business groups to review 27 laws and draft bills, achieving a 60% adoption rate for private sector recommendations. This marks an increase from the 46% acceptance rate observed during the first half of 2024. Moreover, there were 98 meetings held with business groups and councils, representing a 104% increase compared to the same period last year. The chamber also established five new business councils in the first half of the year, representing investors from Brazil, Slovakia, Peru, Indonesia, and Hungary.
