The Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation, known as Empower, has successfully concluded its summer campaign titled “Set and Save at 24 Degrees Celsius,” which ran for four months from June to September. The initiative aimed to reduce cooling energy consumption by encouraging customers to adopt sustainable practices, notably by setting air conditioning units to automatic mode at 24 degrees Celsius.
During this campaign, Empower raised awareness among approximately 148,000 customers regarding the importance of optimal cooling usage and achieved the highest community engagement rates since the campaign’s inception 12 years ago.
Ahmed Bin Shafar, the CEO of Empower, stated, “This summer, we effectively heightened our customers’ awareness about the importance of conserving district cooling, as evidenced by their strong response to our guidelines since the campaign launched. Our continuous operations without interruptions and high efficiency, even during extreme heat, demonstrate our readiness and capability to meet the growing demand reliably and effectively.”
