Collaboration Between Majid Al Futtaim and Abercrombie & Fitch to Launch E-Commerce Platforms

Majid Al Futtaim, a company known for its development and management of shopping centers, integrated cities, and retail and entertainment facilities across the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia, has announced an expansion of its partnership with Abercrombie & Fitch in the Middle East and North Africa. This agreement extends their long-standing collaboration and includes plans to enhance the presence of existing stores, as well as the introduction of Abercrombie’s first local e-commerce platforms in the Middle East.

The new agreement covers e-commerce rights for both Abercrombie & Fitch and Hollister brands, with dedicated online platforms now available in Saudi Arabia. Each site offers a carefully curated selection tailored to local consumer preferences, with plans to launch e-commerce services in Qatar in the coming months before expanding into other regional markets. Additionally, the agreement grants rights to expand the brand presence in Egypt, Jordan, and Lebanon, marking the first entry of Majid Al Futtaim Lifestyle into these markets.

Fran Horowitz, CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch, commented on the development, stating: “As we continue to expand our brand presence globally, our partnership with Majid Al Futtaim remains a crucial aspect of our growth strategy. We are proud of the accomplishments we have achieved together and are eager to leverage this strong partnership to get closer to our customers, understand their needs, and connect with them in innovative and meaningful ways.”

In this context, Fahad Ghanem, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Lifestyle, remarked: “This agreement builds upon the robust partnership that Majid Al Futtaim has maintained with Abercrombie & Fitch for the past 16 years and reflects both parties’ commitment to achieving sustainable growth in the region. With an expanded market reach and the granting of rights to operate the brands through multiple channels, we are well-positioned to drive further expansion and deliver a comprehensive customer experience throughout the Middle East.”

The new expansion agreement is taking advantage of the strong performance reported by Majid Al Futtaim Lifestyle in 2024, where revenues increased by 26% and online sales rose by 31%. This momentum continued into 2025, with Majid Al Futtaim opening 20 new stores in the fashion and lifestyle sector in the first half of the year, including an Abercrombie & Fitch store in Saltier Mall in Riyadh, alongside plans for further expansion of the Abercrombie and Hollister brands into new locations within the region.

Currently, Majid Al Futtaim operates 105 stores and 32 dedicated digital commerce platforms within its lifestyle portfolio, reflecting its commitment to strengthening partnerships and accelerating multi-channel growth across the Middle East.
