Dubai International Airport has firmly established itself as a leader among global airports in terms of scheduled seat capacity for international departures this October, boasting a total of 5.34 million seats (10.68 million in both directions), reflecting a growth of 4% compared to the same month last year.
According to the monthly report from the international organization OAG, London Heathrow Airport secured the second position with a total of 4.19 million seats, while Seoul Airport ranked third with 3.7 million seats.
In terms of total seat capacity for both international and domestic flights combined, Dubai Airport ranked second worldwide, just behind Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, which reported 5.42 million seats for October.
Tokyo Airport recorded approximately 4.68 million seats, placing it in the third position, followed closely by Chicago Airport with 4.64 million seats. Dubai Airports Authority anticipates continued growth in passenger traffic this year, driven by the expansion of national carriers and a resurgence in tourism.
