Abu Dhabi Airports Signs Strategic MoU to Enhance Services
Abu Dhabi Airports and the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security have entered into a strategic memorandum of understanding aimed at improving service standards, facilitating passenger movement, and strengthening customs inspection services and port management across the five airports in the emirate.
This collaboration comes at a pivotal moment for Abu Dhabi Airports, which is experiencing unprecedented growth levels. In 2023, the company recorded a remarkable 44.5% increase in passenger traffic, followed by an additional 28% rise projected for 2024, marking 17 consecutive quarters of double-digit growth through the first half of 2025.
Given the ongoing momentum, the memorandum establishes a framework for cooperation that ensures the airport system can expand efficiently.
The agreement was signed during a formal ceremony held at Abu Dhabi International Airport, with Elena Sorilini, Managing Director and CEO of Abu Dhabi Airports, and Mohammed Al Kuwaiti, Director General of Customs at the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, in attendance.
