Launch of the Digital Platform “Marasa” for Managing Marina Rentals in Dubai

The Dubai Maritime Authority, part of the Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation, has announced the launch of “Marina,” a pioneering digital platform designed to manage and rent marine berths in Dubai. This initiative was unveiled during the GITEX Global 2025 event and marks a significant advancement in establishing Dubai as a global hub for maritime excellence and digital innovation.

The platform aims to facilitate a complete digital transformation within the marina sector by automating all service stages. This includes online applications for reserving available docks at preferred marinas, automatic fee calculations, invoice generation, and secure payment processing, all of which will simplify procedures and reduce paper transactions.

“Marina” is the first platform of its kind in the region that standardizes rental contracts across all marinas in the emirate. It offers direct integration with the Dubai Maritime Authority’s licensing systems and smart payment gateways, in addition to smart dashboards providing authorities with real-time reports on occupancy rates, revenue, and compliance levels.

Nasser Al Neyadi, CEO of the Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation, showcased the features of the “Marina” platform to Abdullah Mohammed Al Bastaki, Secretary General of the Executive Council of Dubai. He highlighted that the Dubai Maritime Authority currently oversees 20 marinas in the emirate, accommodating over 4,200 marine vessels, making the “Marina” project a vital step towards enhancing efficiency in managing this essential sector.

Sheikh Dr. Saeed bin Ahmed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum, Executive Director of the Dubai Maritime Authority, stated that the launch of the “Marina” platform embodies Dubai’s vision for a fully integrated digital economy. He emphasized the commitment to building smart infrastructure that enhances efficiency and transparency while streamlining user experiences in the maritime sector.

He added that there is a strong commitment to leveraging modern technologies to create a comprehensive and sustainable maritime system that supports economic growth, reinforcing Dubai’s position as a leading global center for maritime services and government innovation. The innovative features of the “Marina” platform allow government entities and operators to manage leasing, maintenance, and accounting in a single digital environment, promoting transparency and smart governance while reducing the time and effort needed to complete transactions.

Furthermore, he assured that the “Marina” platform would enhance customer satisfaction through a user-friendly interface and secure electronic payment options, making the experience for marine vessel owners more efficient and convenient. This initiative bolsters Dubai’s journey towards digital transformation in the maritime sector and reflects the emirate’s dedication to continuously developing smart services in line with the leadership’s vision of making Dubai the smartest and best city in the world.
