Dubai’s Digital Economy Room Offers Startups Opportunities to Explore New Markets

The Dubai Digital Economy Chamber, one of the three chambers operating under the Dubai Chambers umbrella, has signed a memorandum of understanding with “28 Digital”, a European organization focused on fostering knowledge and digital innovations. This initiative aims to enhance bilateral cooperation and create new opportunities for digital partnerships between entrepreneurs in Dubai and European countries.

The signing of the memorandum took place during the “Expand North Star 2025” exhibition, organized by the Dubai World Trade Centre and hosted by the Dubai Digital Economy Chamber. Key figures present included Saeed Al Qirqawi, Vice President of the Dubai Digital Economy Chamber, and Federico Mina, CEO of “28 Digital”.

Saeed Al Qirqawi remarked: “Partnering with 28 Digital is a significant step in our efforts to establish Dubai as a global hub for innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship. By enhancing collaboration between Dubai’s tech ecosystem and European nations, we aim to develop new and substantial avenues for innovation, investment, and growth across all digital sectors.”

Under the terms of the memorandum, both parties will work together to create new opportunities for tech startups in Dubai and Europe. This collaboration will focus on key areas such as exploring new markets, facilitating business and investment opportunities, and providing comprehensive support for companies looking to establish a presence in both Dubai and Europe. Additionally, the parties will encourage active participation in their respective innovation ecosystems, organize trade missions, guide investors towards new opportunities, and facilitate access to incubators, accelerators, and local funding services.

The Dubai Digital Economy Chamber is committed to creating pathways that contribute to the establishment of a thriving digital ecosystem in Dubai, supporting the emirate’s transformation into one of the leading digital economies worldwide, in alignment with the objectives outlined in the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33). The “Expand North Star” event represents a key pillar of the strategy employed by the Dubai Digital Economy Chamber to fulfill its aspirations for the emirate to become a premier global center for innovation and technology.
