Gitex Global Sees Agreements Boosting Digital Readiness for Financial Institutions in the UAE

The ongoing “GITEX Global 2025” exhibition in Dubai has witnessed a series of collaborative agreements aimed at enhancing the digital readiness of financial institutions in the UAE. Ajman Bank has announced a partnership with Accenture to support the next phase of its digital transformation journey. This collaboration underscores the bank’s commitment to enhancing its technical capabilities and improving customer experiences through an innovative approach and data-driven analysis. The initiative aims to explore and implement cutting-edge digital solutions to boost the bank’s digital readiness and operational efficiency in an increasingly dynamic financial landscape.

The agreement was signed by Salem Al Shamsi, Chief Operations Officer at Ajman Bank, and Luca Bianchini, Head of Financial Services at Accenture for the Middle East, in the presence of senior representatives from both organizations during the GITEX Global 2025 event.

Salem Al Shamsi stated, “This partnership with Accenture marks a pivotal moment in Ajman Bank’s digital transformation journey. By combining Accenture’s global expertise with our deep understanding of local market needs, we are reinforcing our commitment to delivering banking experiences characterized by speed, excellence, and specialization. We aim to advance technology, develop human resources, and foster customer-centric innovation in line with Islamic banking principles, which will enhance our readiness for sustainable growth and a promising future.”

Luca Bianchini added, “Accenture focuses on integrating technology with human creativity to achieve tangible results. We have leveraged our framework for high-performance business to assess Ajman Bank’s digital maturity and provide tailored recommendations to strengthen the bank’s digital identity and enhance its retail banking components, enabling it to effectively compete with leading institutions and emerging fintech companies.”

Ajman Bank continues to implement its strategy aimed at developing its technological framework and renewing its digital roadmap to align with its aspirations for sustainable growth. Accenture has worked closely with the bank’s IT team to prioritize development initiatives, outline future plans, and establish optimal operational models, while delivering comprehensive strategic recommendations to update the core banking system and ensure its full operational readiness.

The results of a thorough analysis conducted by Accenture serve as the foundation for Ajman Bank’s digital transformation roadmap, which aims to align technology with future strategy, improve the efficiency of technical operations, streamline costs, and mitigate risks associated with fundamental transformation processes.

The collaboration also involved the development of a comprehensive digital strategy and a detailed implementation roadmap, formulated after an extensive review of the digital infrastructure, user experience, technical engineering, and digital operating model. This initiative is anticipated to accelerate the development of modern digital solutions and establish a customer-centric banking core within a flexible and scalable framework, enhancing the bank’s capability to enter new markets, expand its customer base, and continue innovating in the financial sector.
