Emirates: The Damaged Cargo Plane in Hong Kong Leased from Act Airlines

Emirates Airlines has confirmed that flight EK 9788, which was involved in an incident after landing in Hong Kong on October 20, 2025, was a cargo aircraft operated under a wet lease agreement by ACT Airlines. The aircraft, a Boeing 747-400 with the registration TC-ACF, had all four crew members in good health and receiving necessary medical care, and there were no cargo shipments on board.

Emirates Airlines extended its heartfelt condolences to the families and colleagues of the two airport staff members who tragically lost their lives in the incident, expressing its readiness to provide support for the ongoing investigation if required.

The airline reiterated that ACT Airlines, as the operator of the aircraft, is closely collaborating with relevant authorities and all parties involved in the ongoing inquiry.
