The Dubai Maritime Authority has reported unprecedented growth in the issuance of maritime permits through the end of the third quarter of 2025, with figures showing an increase of over five times compared to the same period in 2024. This surge highlights the confidence international investors have in Dubai’s maritime business environment.

According to statistics released by the Dubai Maritime Authority, permits for commercial maritime activities have experienced a remarkable leap, exceeding the levels recorded the previous year.

Additionally, permits for towage operations involving commercial vessels have seen an increase of 80%, indicating a robust and accelerating dynamic within the sector.

These developments are said to bolster the advanced infrastructure of the emirate and reflect its capability to attract global investments within a comprehensive and secure operational framework.

The authority noted that permits related to commercial maritime activities, including construction projects and marine real estate development, have shown significant growth, complemented by a considerable rise in permits for towing operations involving vessels and marine crafts, further demonstrating the sector’s vitality.

It emphasized that all permits issued by the Dubai Maritime Authority adhere to the highest international safety and environmental protection standards, facilitated by precise regulatory frameworks that balance economic growth with the sustainability of ecosystems and the safety of lives and property.
