The Dubai Chamber of Global Trade, one of the three chambers operating under the umbrella of the Dubai Chambers, has announced its significant achievements during the first nine months of this year, showcasing its active role in boosting Dubai’s appeal for foreign direct investment.
During this period, the chamber successfully attracted 261 diverse companies, including multinational corporations as well as small and medium enterprises, marking a substantial increase from the 158 companies attracted in the same timeframe in 2024. This represents a remarkable annual growth of 65% in the number of companies drawn to Dubai.
Among those attracted during the first nine months of this year, 44 were multinational companies, compared to 40 in the same period of the previous year, indicating a 10% increase. Additionally, the chamber brought in 217 small and medium-sized enterprises, reflecting an 84% rise from the 118 companies attracted last year.
Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman of the Dubai Chamber of Global Trade, stated that the organization is dedicated to intensifying its efforts to attract high-value foreign investments to Dubai, while broadening the scope of promising opportunities across various sectors. He emphasized the chamber’s commitment to reinforcing Dubai’s pivotal role on the global trade and investment map, aligning with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 objectives.
He further noted that the chamber’s network of international offices serves as a crucial tool for enabling local businesses to effectively expand into international markets and to introduce the global business community to Dubai’s comprehensive competitive advantages as a leading global hub for trade and investment.
As part of its commitment to the “Dubai Global” initiative, which aims to establish 50 representative offices worldwide by 2030, thereby enhancing Dubai’s position as a premier global business center, the chamber has successfully expanded its international presence this year by opening five new offices in Dhaka (Bangladesh), Cape Town (South Africa), Bangalore (India), Bangkok (Thailand), and Toronto (Canada).
Throughout the first nine months of the year, the chamber’s overseas representatives organized 376 roundtable discussions aimed at promoting Dubai as a global business destination, drawing in foreign direct investment, and establishing Dubai as a center for international market expansion.
The network of Dubai Chamber of Global Trade offices serves as a strategic platform connecting Dubai’s companies with business communities around the globe, facilitating the flow of cross-border investments and opening new channels for bilateral trade. It also assists businesses in the countries where it operates to capitalize on the opportunities available in Dubai, positioning the emirate as a gateway to various global markets.
The chamber’s international offices play a vital role in informing global business communities about Dubai’s competitive advantages as an ideal destination for growth and expansion. These offices provide valuable insights into the Dubai market and support the growth of international companies looking to establish a presence in the emirate and expand into promising markets.
