The Dubai Chamber of Commerce, one of the three chambers operating under the umbrella of the Dubai Chambers, has supported the expansion of the Italian company “Bimar,” specialized in solar energy equipment, into the markets of Georgia and Armenia, while making Dubai its regional hub for operations in the Middle East and North Africa.
During a recent trade mission organized by the chamber to Georgia and Armenia, Bimar successfully established an agreement to provide photovoltaic solar energy solutions for a commercial project in the Georgian capital, Tbilisi, through bilateral meetings facilitated by the chamber.
The first shipment under this agreement was dispatched in recent days. Additionally, the company secured a collaboration agreement with an Armenian firm operating in the solar energy sector.
The activities of the Dubai Chamber’s mission served as a vital platform for Bimar to meet local partners in Georgia and Armenia, exploring opportunities for cooperation and partnerships through organized business meetings with participating Dubai companies.
The chamber provided comprehensive support, culminating in the establishment of agreements between Bimar and its counterparts in Georgia and Armenia. Salem Al Shamsi, the Vice President of International Relations at Dubai Chambers, stated:
“We are committed to fostering the sustainable growth of the local private sector by empowering Dubai-based companies to expand into promising international markets, building strategic partnerships that enhance long-term business growth opportunities. We are dedicated to strengthening the international presence of the Dubai business community, contributing to the emirate’s foreign trade development and opening new avenues across various sectors.”
Strategic Hub
Meanwhile, Dmitry Berzkin, the Director of Bimar’s branch in Dubai, who was part of the chamber’s delegation visiting Georgia and Armenia, remarked, “Dubai serves as a strategic hub for distributing our products to the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and the CIS countries.
The Dubai Chamber’s mission to Georgia and Armenia provided us with a vital opportunity to connect with potential clients and partners, paving the way for our entry into these promising markets.”
He added, “During the mission, we held meetings with local companies not only to explore business opportunities but also to discuss critical topics such as logistics, legal frameworks, and tax procedures, all of which are essential for ensuring successful market entry.
We appreciate the ongoing support of the Dubai Chamber and its significant role in enhancing international trade and expanding business reach, as the chamber plays a key role for us as a reliable partner in our global growth journey.”
