Death of the Multinational ‘Hinduja’ Leader Following an 85-Year Journey

Jobichand B. Hindujah, the chairman of the multinational Hindujah Group, renowned for its significant investments in the Middle East, particularly in the United Arab Emirates, passed away in London at the age of 85.

According to reports from the Indian news agency Press Trust of India, Hindujah had been experiencing health issues in recent weeks and died in a London hospital.

Known in business circles as “G.B.,” he was part of the second generation of the Hindujah family and took over the leadership of the group in May 2023 following the death of his elder brother, Srichand Hindujah.

The Hindujah Group’s investments in the region include the Ashok Leyland factory in Ras Al Khaimah, which is the only bus manufacturing plant in the Gulf Cooperation Council, along with Gulf Oil Middle East, a company specializing in refined petroleum products in Jebel Ali, Dubai.
