Partnering with Original Luxury at Diamond Tower to Elevate Global Industry Standards and Advance Digital Tools

The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) has announced the launch of an Innovation Centre focused on luxury goods, a unique platform aimed at transforming the global luxury landscape by embedding transparency, technology, and sustainability at the heart of luxury product innovation.

This initiative is a collaboration with Original Luxury, a global research hub dedicated to exploring the future of luxury products. It is situated on the 48th floor of the Diamond Tower, the headquarters of the Dubai Diamond Exchange, and one of the largest clusters of precious metals and gemstones companies worldwide.

The new center offers a comprehensive range of facilities and services that enable luxury brands, technology firms, and supply chain stakeholders to collaborate on innovative solutions that enhance transparency, promote sustainable sourcing practices, and facilitate digital integration in the global luxury sector.

Ahsan Bin Suleiman, CEO and Executive Director of DMCC, stated, “The global luxury goods market is projected to surpass $400 billion by 2030.”

He continued, “As consumers become increasingly aware of product origins and authenticity verification methods, this Innovation Centre will help establish new standards for creativity and trustworthiness in the industry, further solidifying Dubai’s status as a global hub for advanced luxury technologies.”

Our vision is clear: to enhance transparency, track sources meticulously, implement reliable sustainability practices, and integrate advanced digital tools effectively.

Dubai has already made significant strides in transforming the global gold and diamond markets. This new initiative extends that legacy, positioning us as the capital of responsible luxury goods, while providing leading brands and innovators with the infrastructure needed to shape the future of this industry.

Margot Stewart, co-founder of Original Luxury, expressed, “We are witnessing a fundamental shift in the concept of luxury, which has evolved from mere symbols of desire to embodying values of responsibility and integrity.”

True luxury remains rooted in allure and desire, yet its future hinges on accountability. The establishment of this centre will facilitate this transition, enabling brands to adapt and innovate effectively.

Through our partnership with DMCC, we are merging technology, creativity, and sound governance to empower a new era of luxury products based on responsibility, intelligence, and global connectivity.

Dubai offers the perfect environment for international expansion and regulatory confidence essential for this sector, and we are proud to support this ambitious vision.

The DMCC currently houses over 1,500 companies active in gold and precious metals, along with more than 1,365 companies specializing in diamonds and gemstones.

Furthermore, the centre is home to one of the largest technology company clusters in the region, with many firms actively developing innovative applications in digital verification, asset tracking, and coding technologies.

The Innovation Centre for luxury goods will act as a hub for these integrated ecosystems, supporting the development of new products and experiences that meet the expectations of a new generation of luxury consumers worldwide.

The launch of the Innovation Centre enhances Dubai’s position as a leading global destination for advanced innovation and international trade.

The DMCC continues to expand its international business zone, now home to over 26,000 companies from 180 countries, by launching new business platforms that drive economic growth, uphold the highest standards of integrity, and open up vast opportunities in key international markets.
