The Fuel Pricing Monitoring Committee has approved a slight increase in gasoline prices by 7 fils, while diesel prices have risen by 8 fils per liter compared to November’s rates.
The new prices have been announced by fuel distribution companies and will take effect from December 1, including a 5% value-added tax.
The cost of Super 98 gasoline has increased by 7 fils, rising from 2.63 AED in November to 2.70 AED in December. Similarly, Special 95 gasoline has gone up 7 fils from 2.51 AED in November to 2.58 AED in December, while E Plus 91 gasoline has also seen a 7 fils increase from 2.44 AED to 2.51 AED. In contrast, diesel prices have jumped by 8 fils per liter from 2.67 AED in November to 2.85 AED in December.
In November 2025, the committee previously reduced the prices of gasoline and diesel by between 14 and 15 fils for gasoline, marking a decrease of 5.6% compared to October 2025 prices, while diesel saw a drop of 4 fils per liter.
Over the past ten months of 2025, fuel prices across all categories have experienced notable declines compared to the same period last year. The stabilization of fuel prices at lower levels follows a similar pattern observed in May, July, and September 2025. The fuel price standards, set monthly by the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, reflect the average global oil prices, adjusted for operational costs of distribution companies.
