Abu Dhabi Market Welcomes Global Brokerage Platform “Interactive Brokers”

The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has announced the addition of Interactive Brokers, a leading global online brokerage firm, as a new partner in the field of online trading. This collaboration aims to broaden access for a larger pool of investors around the world, enabling them to tap into investment opportunities in Abu Dhabi and develop diversified investment portfolios across various asset classes and regions.

Interactive Brokers’ participation is expected to bolster ADX’s efforts to expand its international investor base and enhance global access to listed securities on the exchange.

This development follows recent initiatives by ADX to increase market accessibility through selected digital investment platforms, including Thndr and eToro, which have notably boosted individual investor participation and regional presence. Concurrently, the strengthening of market connectivity, supported by partners like the global ICE network, has increased the visibility of ADX data and made it easier for a broader range of investors to engage with the market.

Interactive Brokers provides its global client base with direct access to capital markets in Abu Dhabi and facilitates trading of all securities listed on the exchange, in addition to over 160 other financial markets. Investors in the UAE will also benefit from the platform’s ability to support multi-currency accounts, including the UAE Dirham, as well as currency conversion services for financing and execution purposes.

This partnership aligns with ADX’s strategy to enhance liquidity, broaden channels for attracting investors, and facilitate access to a growing portfolio of investment products that includes stocks, exchange-traded funds, derivatives, fixed-income instruments, and digital trading solutions.

Abdullah Salem Al-Nuaimi, CEO of ADX, stated, “We are delighted to welcome Interactive Brokers as a key partner for retail investors. Their presence reflects the growing global interest in the Abu Dhabi market and underscores the strength of our market infrastructure, product diversity, and our commitment to providing accessible entry points for investors. As the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange serves as a gateway to capital markets and an investment hub, we aim to expand avenues for international investors to enter our markets and capitalize on the growth potential of our listed companies, fulfilling their investment aspirations. We believe that the addition of Interactive Brokers will enhance liquidity levels, strengthen international ties, and improve the trading environment. We look forward to a close collaboration that supports sustainable growth and encourages broader investor participation.”
