The Finance Department of Ajman organized a specialized educational workshop focused on the “Sustaina” smart financial planning system. This event brought together 22 employees from various government entities as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance financial performance, bolster the capabilities of system users, and improve the financial planning mechanisms within the Ajman government.
The workshop emphasized the key features of the “Sustaina” system and its role in facilitating financial planning processes. This includes providing proactive reports and early alerts that aid governmental bodies in addressing financial discrepancies more swiftly and accurately. Additionally, it outlined updates that aim to minimize traditional procedures and eliminate bureaucracy in budget implementation, thereby enhancing the efficiency of financial operations in the emirate.
The department team also provided an overview of the upgraded reporting suite within the system, showcasing predictive reports that support decision-making and align with the institutional goal of “enhancing financial performance through program and performance budgeting.” This aligns with the objectives of Ajman Vision 2030, enabling informed decision-making.
In this context, Marwan Al Ali, the Director General of the Finance Department in Ajman, stated that organizing this workshop reflects the department’s commitment to developing the financial planning system and improving the skills of users of the “Sustaina” system, recognized as a vital tool for the emirate’s transition to smart financial practices. He added that the Finance Department is dedicated to enhancing the integration of financial data and enabling government entities to leverage the smart reports and proactive alerts provided by the “Sustaina” system, as they play a crucial role in improving financial planning and optimizing resource utilization. This initiative is in line with the targets set by the Ajman government and its vision for 2030 to establish a sophisticated financial system characterized by efficiency, transparency, and sustainability.
