700 Million Dirham Contract Awarded for Construction Works on the ‘Amali Island’ Project

Amali Properties has awarded the main construction and interior finishing contract for the “Amali Island” project, valued at 700 million AED, to Dutco Construction, a company renowned for its track record in executing large-scale projects such as the “Palm Jebel Ali,” “Jebel Ali Port,” and “Bulgari Resort Dubai.”

This contract strengthens the existing partnership between the two entities, following Dutco’s earlier appointment as the marine contractor for the island in 2024. The Amali Island project, with a total investment of 2 billion AED, is one of the most prestigious private residential developments in Dubai, featuring 24 ultra-luxurious villas along the waterfront and introducing a unique lifestyle concept of “sailing to and from home.”

Preliminary construction work on the island is advancing significantly, with excavation, backfilling, and soil improvement already completed. Additionally, the progress on marine construction and deep infrastructure works, along with main service stations, has reached 50%, paving the way for the commencement of the main construction phase with Dutco as the primary contractor.

Proven Track Record

Ali Sajwani, co-founder and CEO of Amali Properties, stated: “Choosing Dutco for the main construction works was a clear and correct decision for us due to their extensive history in executing some of the most complex and distinctive projects in the UAE. We have a strong ambition to create a unique lifestyle at Amali Island, making it a standout destination for luxury and opulence. By appointing a contractor like Dutco with significant experience in the construction sector, we reaffirm our commitment to delivering an extraordinary project by all standards.”

Exceptional Project

Amira Sajwani, co-founder and operations director at Amali Properties, expressed: “Our vision for Amali Island has been clear from the outset; we aim to deliver an exceptional project that adheres to the highest standards and modern design principles, from collaborating with top global design firms to selecting Dutco as the main contractor, embodying our commitment to building a luxurious destination for a unique living experience.”

Meanwhile, Ziad Baqar, CEO of Dutco Group, remarked: “We are proud to expand our partnership with Amali Properties on this remarkable project. For over 54 years, Dutco has contributed to shaping some of the UAE’s most significant landmarks through the execution of major projects that have become iconic features of Dubai. We are excited to leverage our extensive experience in delivering distinguished projects to this development, which sets a new standard for ultra-luxurious living. Our team is committed to delivering the highest levels of quality and precision according to global best practices, making Amali Island a future destination that enhances Dubai’s status as a global city offering exceptional living experiences.”
