Abu Dhabi Room Boosts Presence of National Companies at the 2025 International Food Exhibition

The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry is participating in the 2025 Abu Dhabi International Food Exhibition, which starts tomorrow at the ADNEC Abu Dhabi as part of Global Food Week activities.

This participation aims to support and empower local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) while enhancing their presence in both local and international markets. It also highlights the chamber’s efforts to elevate Abu Dhabi’s competitiveness as a leading regional hub in the food industry and modern agriculture, reaffirming its commitment to supporting national strategies for food security and economic sustainability.

The chamber aims to enable entrepreneurs and investors to engage directly with companies and entities involved in the value-added food and beverage sector, facilitating commercial partnerships that promote the expansion of Emirati businesses in regional and global markets.

Additionally, the chamber will host a series of professional meetings and interactive dialogues alongside the exhibition, focusing on its services in business development and agricultural innovation. There will also be coordination meetings between representatives from the public and private sectors to explore support for food supply chains and identify opportunities for collaboration on future food security projects.

Shams Al-Dhaheri, the second deputy chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, stated: “Our involvement in this international event reflects our steadfast commitment to empowering the national private sector and expanding avenues for commercial and investment cooperation in critical areas related to agriculture, thereby enhancing Abu Dhabi’s status as a regional hub for innovation and sustainability in the food security system.”

He added: “The Abu Dhabi Chamber is dedicated to enhancing the presence of national companies at specialized exhibitions and providing effective platforms for them to connect with partners and buyers in global markets. Our participation in the Abu Dhabi International Food Exhibition 2025 presents an opportunity to foster agricultural innovation and support sustainable solutions that contribute to food security and improve the competitiveness of the national economy.”

He indicated that the chamber continues to utilize its resources and strategic partnerships to create a conducive business environment that supports the growth of small and medium-sized national enterprises, enabling them to play an active role in sustainable food and agricultural production.

The future of the food sector in Abu Dhabi is expected to flourish, with projections indicating a potential 40% increase in food production in the UAE. This growth will accelerate in the agricultural technology, food manufacturing, and retail sectors, allowing the nation to steadily reinforce its position as a global leader in technological food innovation and sustainability.

The chamber’s booth features a selection of national companies demonstrating successful models of innovation and advanced agricultural technologies, including enterprises specialized in organic and hydroponic farming and the production of sustainable local foods, alongside tech firms developing digital solutions that connect producers and suppliers through integrated smart systems.

Through its initiatives, the chamber encourages a shift towards a circular economy and the adoption of sustainable production practices that preserve natural resources, enhance production efficiency, and foster collaboration between the public and private sectors in developing modern agricultural technologies and increasing the competitiveness of the food industry.
