Strengthening Economic Ties Between Ajman and Nepal

Sheikh Sultan bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Vice Chairman of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce, held discussions with Tej Bahadur Shahitri, the Ambassador of Nepal to the UAE, aimed at enhancing economic cooperation and fostering direct investment between Ajman and Nepal.

During the meeting at the chamber’s headquarters, Salem Al Suwaidi, the Director General of the Ajman Chamber, was present alongside a Nepalese delegation led by Chandra Prasad Dhakal, President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

Sheikh Sultan emphasized Ajman’s commitment to strengthening economic relations with countries worldwide, ensuring a sustainable investment environment that aligns with the aspirations of investors across various sectors including industry, trade, tourism, services, education, health, real estate, and construction. He noted that the Ajman Chamber operates according to an annual plan focused on enhancing external cooperation, exploring new economic and investment partnership opportunities, boosting the competitiveness of the business environment, and attracting quality investments while facilitating local products’ access to international markets.

The economic and investment landscape in Ajman is characterized by several advantages, including high-quality and efficient government services, competitive operational costs, a strategic geographic location, advanced infrastructure, and flexible regulations supportive of business growth and investment.

Tej Bahadur Shahitri reiterated Nepal’s eagerness to strengthen economic and trade relations with Ajman, exploring partnership and investment opportunities in mutually beneficial sectors. He extended an invitation to the Ajman Chamber to visit Nepal to discover potential investment openings.

Collaborative Opportunities

The meeting explored avenues for mutual cooperation and strategies for increasing reciprocal investments across sectors such as agriculture, education, tourism, industry, financial services, information technology, retail, and enhancing trade volume between Ajman and Nepal. Discussions included available investment opportunities in locations like Manama and Masyaf, with an invitation for the delegation to attend the Ajman International Education and Training Exhibition in 2026.

Both parties concluded with an affirmation of the importance of broadening cooperation, sharing expertise, and identifying promising investment opportunities, paving the way for new economic partnerships.

They also recommended organizing joint forums and events involving business owners and investors from both nations to showcase available investment prospects, emphasizing the significance of sharing information and studies to further develop trade and investment relations between them.

Sheikh Sultan bin Saqr Al Nuaimi and Tej Bahadur Shahitri exchanged plaques and commemorative gifts to mark the occasion.
