The Ajman Chamber of Commerce participated in the 14th Arab-Greek Economic Forum, held in Athens, Greece. This event brought together high-ranking government officials, business leaders, economic experts, and numerous investors from both Arab nations and Greece.
The forum focused on various economic insights and investment opportunities in the construction and infrastructure sectors, innovative building methods, and the latest sustainable practices in housing. Topics also included addressing climate change, traditional electricity, and renewable energy projects such as solar and wind energy, green hydrogen, storage solutions, ports, and logistics services. The importance of financing in construction and energy projects, as well as digital transformation and artificial intelligence in developing key sector investments, was emphasized.
Sheikh Sultan bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Vice Chairman of the Ajman Chamber, who led the chamber’s delegation to the forum, praised the robust relations between the UAE and Greece and the deep connections between the two nations. He highlighted the advanced level of economic cooperation, viewing it as a model of progressive international economic and investment partnerships, especially as both parties aim to explore new cooperation avenues and expand trade flows. Al Nuaimi stressed the significance of the forum as a premier international platform for enhancing collaboration and partnership, which will broaden investment prospects between the UAE and Greece, thereby advancing economic relationships. He noted the forum’s pivotal role in uncovering promising opportunities in several strategic sectors, particularly construction and energy, which are among the fastest-growing and most attractive for investments and future partnerships. Membership statistics from the Ajman Chamber indicate a significant growth in the construction and real estate sectors, with 5,046 memberships in construction activities from the beginning of the year through the third quarter, representing a growth rate of 21% compared to the same period in 2024. Additionally, real estate activities accounted for 731 memberships, showing a 12% growth rate.
Al Nuaimi expressed that the Ajman Chamber is keen on establishing broader partnerships and communication bridges with Greek entities by exploring opportunities for organizing joint meetings and events that would inform investors about available prospects and enhance mutual trade and investments.
During the forum, Sheikh Sultan bin Saqr Al Nuaimi held a series of bilateral meetings with delegations from various Arab nations and Greece.
