The Ajman Finance Department organized a supplier forum, inviting representatives from Ajman government suppliers. The event aimed to strengthen partnerships and communication with government suppliers while showcasing key developments and services available to enhance the supplier experience and improve procurement efficiency in the Emirate of Ajman.
During the forum, the updated version of the “Procurement” system was launched, along with a series of quality updates intended to improve user friendliness and increase transparency.
The updates included the development of tender review and participation mechanisms, enhancements to the negotiation interface, and the addition of an interactive dashboard that allows suppliers to track purchase orders, receipts, invoices, and contracts. The procedures for creating invoices were simplified and directly linked to purchase orders and receipts, which will expedite processes and enhance their effectiveness.
The department emphasized that the updates to the “Procurement” system are part of its ongoing efforts to improve the government procurement framework and promote digital transformation within the emirate. This initiative aims to increase the efficiency of government financial services following best practices in the field, ultimately elevating the quality of life in the emirate and enhancing its competitiveness, in alignment with the Ajman 2030 vision.
Fostering Strong Relationships
Abdul Ghaffar Al Khaja, Director of Government Accounts at the department, stated that the meeting reflects the department’s commitment to building a fruitful relationship with all suppliers based on trust and transparency, which benefits all parties involved. This collaboration is essential for the sustainable development and prosperity of the emirate. He pointed out that suppliers play a vital role in achieving the Ajman government’s objectives and maintaining the quality of its services, hence the department’s focus on involving them in the development of the procurement system in the emirate.
The forum also highlighted the role of the Ajman Call Center in supporting suppliers by facilitating access to information and services through answering inquiries, addressing feedback and complaints, and providing multiple communication channels around the clock in Arabic, English, and Urdu. At the conclusion of the forum, the Ajman Finance Department honored several suppliers and government entities for their significant contributions to the “Procurement” system. The recognition included suppliers who participated in testing the updates, as well as outstanding suppliers for the year 2025. Additionally, the Ajman Call Center was acknowledged for its pivotal role in supporting suppliers and facilitating communication during the procurement processes.
