The Ajman Tourism Development Department recently concluded a five-day promotional tour in India, marking a strategic effort to enhance the emirate’s presence and foster cooperation with international markets. India has been identified as a significant emerging tourist market, and this tour reflects the department’s ongoing commitment to building partnerships with key players in the global tourism sector, particularly in Asian markets.
During the tour, led by Mahmoud Khalil Al Hashimi, the Director General of the department, fruitful meetings were held with tourism partners in New Delhi, Pune, and Kolkata. The focus was on showcasing Ajman’s major tourist attractions while also learning about outstanding travel companies in India.
Al Hashimi emphasized that this tour is a pivotal step for the Ajman Tourism Development Department in establishing Ajman as a global tourist destination. It showcases the vision of enhancing the emirate’s economic standing by attracting investments and increasing visitor flows, which directly supports economic returns and fosters sustainable growth in the tourism sector. He noted that this visit is just the beginning of a series of international trips, with future tours planned for China and other global markets. The aim is to seize available opportunities, expand international relationships, and explore and establish regional and global collaboration channels.
