The company “Sund,” a global leader in aerospace engineering and asset management solutions, fully owned by Mubadala Investment Company, has announced a partnership with Abu Dhabi Polytechnic. This educational institution, part of the Higher Colleges of Technology, aims to introduce a vocational training program designed to train and employ the next generation of aircraft engine technicians in the United Arab Emirates.
The agreement was signed during the “Bright Future” job fair, organized by the General Civil Aviation Authority to inspire youth to explore employment opportunities within the aviation sector. The signing was conducted by Mansour Janahi, managing director and CEO of “Sund,” and Dr. Ali Al Marzouqi, director general of the Higher Colleges of Technology.
Empowering Talent
Mansour Janahi stated, “This program reflects ‘Sund’s’ strong commitment to empowering national competencies and supporting Abu Dhabi’s vision of becoming a global aviation hub. Our collaboration with Abu Dhabi Polytechnic aims to provide pathways that enable our youth to acquire the skills, experience, and confidence needed to lead the future of the aviation industry in the UAE.”
Dr. Ali Al Marzouqi commented, “The vocational training system is one of the established educational frameworks we implement at our institutions under the Abu Dhabi Center for Technical and Vocational Education and Training. Over the years, this system has proven its effectiveness in preparing qualified national personnel possessing the practical and scientific skills required across various technical disciplines. By partnering with ‘Sund,’ we continue to enhance this exemplary educational model, confident that its outcomes will contribute to providing the aviation sector with highly skilled Emirati technicians.”
This collaboration marks a significant step towards realizing Abu Dhabi’s vision of becoming a global aviation center, reflecting “Sund’s” ongoing commitment to developing Emirati competencies and building national capabilities that will shape the future of the aviation sector.
This partnership is part of the strategy of the Abu Dhabi Center for Technical and Vocational Education and Training to enhance technical and vocational education and cultivate national skills, while also highlighting the role of Abu Dhabi Polytechnic as a leading academic institution in training specialized Emirati personnel.
By uniting the efforts of a leading industrial organization with a distinguished academic institution, this collaboration will provide a dynamic platform for preparing specialized technicians who will support the UAE’s ambitions within the aviation field. The launch of this program comes at a time when the global aviation industry is facing increasing challenges due to a shortage of qualified professionals.
