The final day of the 2026 Gulf Food Expo showcased crucial global trends in the food industry, with a notable emphasis on the impact of modern technologies, particularly artificial intelligence and robotics, in improving production efficiency, supporting sustainable supply chains, and creating new avenues for growth and expansion for local companies.
In this context, Emirati businesses are increasingly turning to AI and robotics to boost operational efficiency, enhance productivity, and foster innovation, aligning with the UAE’s vision of developing a knowledge-based economy powered by advanced technologies.
In remarks made at the event, Fared Al-Hosani, CEO of Al-Hosani Group, shared that the company began its journey in 1912 with the launch of its first grocery store in Dubai. Over time, it has gradually expanded to become one of the largest national groups operating across various sectors, including food products, manufacturing, and packaging materials.
He noted that the group comprises over 45 companies and factories, operates in diverse sectors, and exports its products to more than 50 countries worldwide. Furthermore, he highlighted that they own 33 facilities within the UAE, along with factories abroad, covering various fields such as food processing, packaging solutions, and cleaning products.
