Blue Ocean Expands Supply Chain Services in Egypt Starting from Dubai

Blue Ocean Corporation, with its regional headquarters in Dubai, has announced the opening of a new office in Cairo along with the launch of the inaugural International Procurement and Supply Chain Conference (IPSC). This event is set in one of the fastest-growing markets in the region.
According to a company statement, the new Cairo office strengthens Blue Ocean’s strong international presence, which already includes active branches in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the UK, as well as several major cities in India.
The Cairo edition marks a new chapter in the longstanding global legacy of the IPSC conference, which has previously been held in the UAE, Riyadh, Qatar, India, and the UK.
Dr. Sathia Menon, CEO of Blue Ocean Group, stated, “The IPSC conference in Egypt highlighted the country’s readiness to take on a significantly larger role in global supply chains. The levels of engagement and the diversity of viewpoints from various sectors reflected Egypt’s growing stature as an emerging force in international trade.”
Under the theme “Redefining the New Trade Equation: From Egypt to the World,” the conference attracted over 1,000 participants, representing more than 400 organizations and featuring over 30 international speakers from key sectors including logistics, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, energy, retail, agriculture, technology, and government-related sectors.
Discussing Egypt’s strategic maritime significance, supported by the critical role of the Suez Canal in facilitating global trade, Ahmed Al-Shazly, an economic researcher and maritime analyst at the Suez Canal Authority, remarked, “Egypt is experiencing rapid development to emerge as a smart, interconnected, and competitive trading hub. The hosting of the IPSC conference in Cairo reflects the international community’s confidence in the direction the country is headed and its growing role in shaping the future of global trade.”
During his presentation, Dr. Menon emphasized, “As global interconnectivity increases, the supply chain serves as the backbone of the 21st-century economy. This is the century of global connectivity, and consequently, the era of supply chains. Every major issue faced by the world today—be it economic, geopolitical, sustainability-related, or inflationary in nature—fundamentally revolves around supply chains.”
In his address to global leaders and industry professionals during the IPSC conference, Dr. Menon reiterated that supply chains are no longer mere supporting functions but have become priorities discussed at the highest levels of corporate boards. He pointed out the widespread disruptions and implications for global economies caused by geopolitical threats, ranging from the Red Sea crisis and the grounding of the Ever Given in the Suez Canal to the ongoing impacts of the conflict in Ukraine.
Insights on Growth in Egypt and Achievements of the IPSC Conference
Commenting on the opening of Blue Ocean’s first office in Egypt, Mr. Abdul Aziz, Chairman of Blue Ocean Group, said, “Establishing our office in Cairo is a pivotal step in our deep commitment to the Egyptian market. As the pace of transformation in supply chains accelerates in the country, we take pride in being a part of this journey by supporting capacity development, sector growth, and sustainable long-term capabilities.”
The IPSC conference series has received accolades from leading figures and global institutions, including His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence in the UAE. Previous sessions have featured prominent individuals such as the Deputy Minister of Health for Localization and Human Capital in Saudi Arabia, Eng. Marai Al-Qahatani.
Headquartered in London, Blue Ocean Group is the only brand recognized as a “Super Brand” in the training field. The company reaffirms its global leadership position, backed by a robust legacy of over 28 years of excellence, a graduate pool exceeding 500,000 individuals, partnerships with over 2,500 organizations, and the receipt of more than 30 prestigious international awards.
