Dric & Skel International Enters Commercial Real Estate Development

Dric & Skel International has officially embarked on a new chapter in its business journey by venturing into the commercial real estate development sector for the first time. This strategic move signifies the company’s bold expansion beyond its core contracting business. Dric & Skel has acquired a prime plot of land in the Mijaan area of Dubai, where it plans to develop a state-of-the-art mixed-use commercial building, adhering to the highest standards from design to completion.

This initiative marks a significant turning point for Dric & Skel, reflecting the company’s vision of diversifying its business portfolio and capitalizing on the robust momentum in Dubai’s real estate market. By taking full control of the development process—from conception to execution—Dric & Skel is poised to redefine its market presence as an integrated partner, merging contracting and real estate development, thereby broadening its range of services and bolstering its position in the sector.

CEO Statement

Moeen Saleh, CEO of Dric & Skel, commented, “The name Dric & Skel has always been associated with engineering excellence and the implementation of large-scale projects. Today, we make a transformative leap into the real estate development sector, a natural progression that allows us to leverage our deep industry expertise and create sustainable assets. This project is not just a building; it’s a testament to our resilience and ambition to keep pace with market developments. Through this expansion, we aim to create new revenue streams, enhance our brand, and contribute to the growing urban landscape of Dubai.”

Saleh further elaborated, “Our extensive experience in executing complex projects provides us with a unique competitive advantage in this arena. We have a profound understanding of construction intricacies, cost efficiency, and quality control, which are pivotal elements that will set apart our future ventures. This project is merely the beginning of a comprehensive strategy aimed at transforming Dric & Skel into a more diversified and future-focused company.”

Project Details

The designed project will serve as a modern destination, offering a cohesive environment for businesses and retail sectors, meeting contemporary standards with a total construction area exceeding 156,000 square feet. This includes more than 10,000 square feet of premium commercial space on the ground floor and over 67,000 square feet of high-efficiency office space spread across nine floors. The project will also feature a three-story parking facility accommodating approximately 147 vehicles, ensuring utmost convenience for tenants and visitors.

Dric & Skel has enlisted the services of Paliyaha Architectural and Engineering Consultancy to oversee the design and supervision of the project, ensuring adherence to top quality and architectural appeal. Following soil tests and topographical surveys, the company is currently finalizing final permits to commence construction, with a target completion date set for the end of 2026.

By maintaining full control over all project phases—from land acquisition to handover—Dric & Skel is strategically positioned to create added value, drawing from decades of construction experience to develop highly efficient and quality commercial spaces. This approach not only enhances the company’s income sources but also solidifies its status as an integrated player in the real estate sector, capable of delivering comprehensive solutions for Dubai’s dynamic market.

This expansion reflects Dric & Skel’s strong confidence in the UAE’s economic vision and its ongoing commitment to innovation and development. As it enters this new sector, the company is dedicated to delivering projects that blend its extensive execution expertise with developmental ambition, making a significant impact on the future of commercial project development in the region.
