Dubai Chambers Builds Global Business Bridges Through a Network of 38 Overseas Offices

Salem Al-Shamsi, the Vice President of International Relations at Dubai Chambers, confirmed that the newly established network of overseas offices, initiated under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, is a crucial element for empowering local businesses to expand into global markets based on their needs and growth plans.

In a special statement, Al-Shamsi elaborated that this network offers local companies comprehensive logistical and consulting support while facilitating direct communication channels with international markets, thus bolstering their ability to grow internationally. Concurrently, these offices also aid foreign companies looking to establish operations in Dubai and integrate into the local economic system, enabling businesses to foster international partnerships that enhance their sustainability.

Currently, Dubai Chambers operates 38 overseas offices that represent the emirate commercially in various global markets, with ambitious plans to expand this number to 50 by 2030, which will further reinforce Dubai’s international presence and support the expansion of the business community.

He highlighted that Dubai Chambers’ efforts have yielded tangible results, successfully attracting 373 new companies from around the world last year, marking an 80% growth compared to previous years, including 64 multinational corporations. This reflects the attractiveness of Dubai’s business environment and the confidence of international investors in its economy.

Al-Shamsi underscored the significant role of the overseas offices in supporting local companies and promoting their expansion into global markets, while also attracting foreign companies to join the business community in Dubai, all in line with a strategic vision to establish the emirate as a global hub for trade and investment.

In this context, he detailed that Dubai Chambers is implementing several qualitative initiatives to support international expansion, notably the “New Horizons” initiative, which guides companies to various global markets by organizing annual visits to about eight countries to explore investment opportunities and arrange bilateral meetings with counterparts in those markets, in collaboration with international chambers of commerce and strategic partners.

Additionally, Dubai Chambers also hosts the “Dubai Business Conference” biannually in various global capitals to enhance investment and trade partnership opportunities. The latest edition of the conference, held in New York, was the largest held outside Dubai, featuring participation from 85 business leaders and representatives from both governmental and private sectors, and addressed promising investment opportunities while strengthening collaboration with the global business community.

He emphasized that the network of representative offices operated by Dubai Chambers plays a pivotal role in achieving the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) by attracting quality investments and enabling businesses operating in Dubai to expand internationally, thereby contributing to the establishment of sustainable economic partnerships that enhance Dubai’s competitiveness and solidify its leadership among the world’s major financial and business centers.
