Dubai Featured as a Top “Dream Destination” for British Tourists

Dubai has been recognized as one of the top five dream destinations for travelers from the UK, according to a new study conducted by the travel company “Travel Bag.” British tourists are prepared to spend an average of 20,430 AED per person on their ideal holiday, as reported by “Connecting Travel.”

The list of “ideal destinations” included Dubai, the Maldives, New York, Kyoto, and the Great Barrier Reef, assuming budget is not a constraint. Other sought-after locations in the Travel Bag survey included the Seychelles, Thailand, Mauritius, Saint Lucia, and Banff National Park in Canada.

Travel Bag highlighted Dubai’s year-round allure for British travelers, noting its unique blend of indoor and outdoor attractions, day and night, from stunning beaches and desert adventures to the iconic Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, and high-end dining options.

Earlier this year, the UAE was ranked as the safest country for exploration after dark, with five cities, including Dubai, landing in the top ten globally.

The research also revealed that travelers from the UK are willing to spend an average of $4,612 (16,940 AED) per person on their dream vacation, covering flight costs, accommodation, food, and activities.

Nearly half of the participants (49%) admitted they would exceed their established budget for the perfect trip, with two-thirds (64%) showing interest in upgrading their flights and hotel accommodations.

The survey indicated that the “Baby Boomer” generation has the largest travel budgets, averaging $5,563 (20,430 AED), while “Generation X” spends less, averaging $3,919 (14,370 AED). “Generation Z” travelers are the most likely to splurge, with 57% stating they would go over their set budgets.

According to Natalie Watson, the brand and marketing manager at Travel Bag, British travelers are increasingly gravitating towards luxury experiences that offer value.
