Dubai is gearing up for an extraordinary New Year’s celebration in 2025, featuring some of the most stunning visual and creative displays. The Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, will transform into a stage for Bollywood-inspired performances, featuring the globally renowned star Shah Rukh Khan. The festivities will span eight days, from December 31 to January 7, and have been described by organizers as the largest and most unique event in the emirate’s history.
Emaar Properties is collaborating with Khan, as his company, Red Chillies Entertainment, will produce the show and infuse a cinematic Bollywood flair into the displays at Burj Park, according to Forbes.
The highlight of the event will be the fireworks display around the tower, which will feature fireworks from multiple vantage points, LED visuals on the tower, laser shows, music, water fountain displays, and this year’s Bollywood element, expected to include live performances and entertainment inspired by Indian cinema throughout the events.
The public can enjoy the show for free in designated areas in the city center, where nearby locations have been set up as viewing spots.
Free access points include Boulevard Heights, Vista Tower, Emaar Square, The Address Boulevard, Fountain Views, The Address Downtown, and Vida Dubai Mall.
Organizers recommend arriving before 4 PM to secure a good spot, with the metro being the preferred mode of transport. There may be station closures at Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall once capacity limits are reached.
For those seeking a premium experience, Burj Park offers front-row seating available for tickets priced at 997.5 AED for adults and 577.5 AED for children aged 5 to 12, with free admission for children under five.
Entry to Burj Park includes access to food trucks, seating areas, restrooms, live performances, DJ sets, and dedicated children’s areas with organized activities.
Entry points at Burj Park will be managed with a system of colored badges and wristbands to guide visitors, along with a special gate for families with strollers.
Partial road closures around the area will begin at 4 PM, and for those unable to attend in person, the show will be viewable on LED screens set up on main streets.
Visitors are encouraged to arrive early, bring water, snacks, and comfortable footwear, and to remain patient for an enjoyable festive experience.
This event promises a rare opportunity for the public to celebrate New Year’s in a unique way, blending joy, fireworks, and Bollywood cinematic art amidst Dubai’s enchanting atmosphere.
