From October 31 to November 2, the 11th edition of the “Used Boats Exhibition in Dubai” will take place at the Dubai Creek Marina, themed “A Boat for Everyone.” The event will feature over 50 local, regional, and international brands from boat manufacturers, yacht dealers, and marine equipment traders.
This exhibition is one of the most significant marine industry events in the region, providing a platform for showcasing and selling used boats and yachts at competitive prices. It also contributes to the circular economy and solidifies Dubai’s position as a leading destination for yacht manufacturing and marine activities.
Market indicators suggest that the leisure boat market in the Middle East could reach approximately $2.95 billion by 2027, with an annual growth rate estimated at around 4.9%, driven by infrastructure development and an increasing demand for marine tourism in the region.
Abdullah Ali Al Noun, Project Director at Dubai Golf and organizer of the event via “Via Marine,” stated that this exhibition represents Dubai’s vision for developing the marine sector and expanding interest in boat ownership. He noted that this year’s theme reflects a commitment to providing diverse options for various demographics, while also focusing on sustainability and reuse concepts in the marine industry.
He added that the exhibition is organized against the backdrop of growth in the leisure boat market in the Middle East, predicting it will support investment and trade in used boats. The event is expected to attract over 5,000 visitors, including consumers, investors, and enthusiasts from within the UAE and abroad, offering a networking platform for companies in this field and exploring cooperation opportunities. The United Arab Emirates currently accounts for about 50% of the leisure boat and yacht market share in the Gulf region and the Middle East, supported by an infrastructure of over 22 marinas, accommodating more than 4,190 yachts and boats, along with comprehensive maintenance and support service facilities.
The exhibition aligns with Dubai’s Industrial Strategy 2030 by promoting the trade of used boats and reducing the need for new manufacturing, thereby enhancing the principles of the circular economy and sustainability in the marine industries.
It will also include dedicated sections for financing, insurance, maintenance, and spare parts services, along with displays of the latest technologies in navigation and hybrid and electric propulsion systems, allowing visitors and investors to gain insights into the developments within the marine industry in the region.
